I realize that some of you had some difficulties getting logged in this week. For sure, you must type your password in again after the google account asks for your username (which should be your email). Laurie, I will have to check , but I think I have your old Cook Engineering email in the system (perhaps that is one reason why you had difficulties).
Anyway, hopefully things will sort themselves out this week. For this week's assignment please read the Introduction part 2 pages 13-16 and try the exercises associated with it. Blog any time you like during the week.
We should all be checking the comment section daily to keep track of each other's thoughts. As well, I encourage you to pray for all of us in the group with respect to our spiritual development through this study.

Well, I started off on one track but have now changed my Psalm of choice to something more positive, some of those earlier ones can be kind of negative...at least that's how it feels when you initially read them. I don't figure I'll be ready to comment more until at least tomorrow. Angela
Where did this week go ?
I am a touch behind but I wanted to ask you gals how close your answers are to TK's for say Ps. 133 or did you just read his as an example? I did not want to stay on the computer so went back upstairs and followed his way but with my own replies. If any of you did it this way , how did your thoughts gell with his ? Just curious . I find that one very helpful thing for me is that I am ,at the same time, involved with a study of John. That certainly made it much easier to imagine Christ praying this psalm. We are in John 8 but have looked forward at the wonderful 10:27 where he speaks of his sheep knowing his voice etc, and back to chapter 6 where he makes certain they / we know that he does nothing on his own , only what he sees the Father doing ;He and the Father are one; the Father shows him (Son) what the he (Father) is doing .Oh look to John 14:20 and 23 ! Unity does not come any closer than that !How can his presence within our hearts not unite us deeply ?!
I am looking forward to this next week with this study and hopefully everyone will be on and leaving some comments . Thanks for the reminder Kathy , of the reason for this study . I am off to check out 134.
Joyce
I know what Joyce means, this week flew by !
For the individual exercise I ended up going with Psalm 16. I felt so secure reading it, so sure in the knowledge that our God is an awesome God who is always there for us. And there is so much joy in that !
In the past year or so there have been a lot of "whys" in my life but I can look to verse 5 and know He has assigned me these things because He knows what is best for my life.
Joyce, I pretty much have been doing it the same way as you have. It is taking some work though, but I am enjoying the process. Reading through John is going to be a great asset for you. My Sunday school curriculum is having me work through very familiar Old Testament stories, but then challenging the kids and myself to see Jesus in it all. I hope this will help with the praying with the Psalms too.
Now I just have to get a little more disciplined and not rush through the exercises as we get into week three.
